Our Story

Founded in 1983 by Gennaro and Maria La Hara, G&M Coffee Roasters has been family owned and operated ever since.

Starting in a small shop in the heart of Brooklyn, G&M began repairing espresso machines and selling imported espresso from Italy, and the reputation for unrivaled quality service was born. After establishing a presence in the Italian communities of the NYC metro area, Gennaro began to explore his passion of roasting coffee. With years of trial and error, and many trips to Italy, he finally mastered his skill in the authentic Neapolitan tradition of roasting espresso, and Caffe' Gennaro had finally arrived. Caffe' Gennaro's smooth, creamy complexion and sweet, nutty aftertaste is enjoyed by avid espresso drinkers everywhere!

Our coffee is roasted, ground, and packed in small batches right here in Staten Island, NY. We start by hand selecting a variety of premium green coffee from around the world, then we roast each coffee in the authentic Neapolitan tradition. With the exception of our flavored coffee which requires gourmet flavor extracts, all of our coffee products are 100% coffee. No additives, fillers or added oils.
